NOTE: Only for stock plastic axle housings. While this setup is totaly functional it is mainly just for looks. You will likely get better performance from a high end single shock.

BRAND NEW. Oversteer RC's Dual shock mounting kit is for the serious DIY'er that really wants a custom look. This kit was designed after Ryan Anderson himself asked if I could create a way to mount some eBay shocks he found to his Mini LMT and make them look more realistic. How could I say no!

This listing is only for the Digital 3D model files and is NOT a physical product. Check our other listings for a physical printed for you version.

Watch the video to see how I convert the shocks from external to internal spring shocks to make them look like real Monster Jam shocks. You could leave off the fake piggybacks, and just run two of any shock if you wanted.

Included:

  • Upper and Lower shock mounts
  • Fake piggyback cylinders
  • Piggyback mounting couplers
  • Limit straps x4

Needed:

  • Aluminum shocks from ebay. I recommend the 66mm long version but you can use the 78mm (78's are on my SUD in the pics), they make the ride hight taller. (link below to the ones I used but if they look the same, they likely are)
  • Realy light shock oil like this 15wt. Might even want 10wt in just one (or no oil at all as they o-rings damp quite a bit with two shocks,) but you can experiment

  • Spring kit I used to turn external into internal spring shocks. I ended up using 0.4mm x 5mm x 20mm springs but you can experiment with the many different ride heights the different springs will give you. You can also run springs in just one of each dual shock:
  • M2.5x25mm screws for mounting the shocks.
  • M2 longer screws to mount the upper and lower mounts

Note: You can make these out of anything you want but TPU is the only material I've tested these with and while I'm pretty nice to my trucks, I haven't broken them yet. Also on the Grave Digger the top mounts interfere with the hood a little unless you loosen the front hood screws or add a spacer of sorts to lift it very slightly.
